Mike Bibby was only two years old when his family moved to Arizona where his Dad worked as the assistant head coach of the Arizona Wildcats. Mike Bibby able to learn from the best. The Young star was going to improve and get a lot better. He showed his stuff when he played at Shadow Mountain High School. The high school star was averaging 34 points a game and leading his high school team to a state title. With his great basketball ability Mike Bibby wasn’t only getting attention from the fans but also Arizona recruiters.

Mike Bibby stared while playing at the Univeristy of Arizona. This young point guard was making a name for himself. Mike Bibby was named Pac-10 freshman of the year afer averaging 13.5 points and 5.2 assists per game. Mike Bibby started every game he ever played in his Arizona career. With his

scoring ability Mike Bibby lead his NCAA Arizona team to the NCAA Championship game. Averaging 18 points a game and up setting three top seated teams including Kentucky in the title game. After his great season the next season Mike Bibby informed every one he entering into the 1998 NBA draft instead playing out his remaining seasons with the wildcats. Mike Bibby entered the 1998 NBA Draft where his was picked second overall by the Memphis Grizzlies. No matter where Mike Bibby played he was always a leader, leading all rookies in assists 13th in the NBA, 3rd in scoring with 13.2 points per game, 6th in double-doubles, steals, 7th in three point attempts with 74 and 10th in free throw percentage with .751. Bibby added another name to his nba career being named 1998-99 Shick All-Rookie First Team which consisted of Vince Carter, Paul Pierce, Jason Williams and Matt Harpring.
In the second season with the grizzlies Mike Bibby finished fourth in the AT&T shootout and participated in the Rookie game durning All-Star weekend. On Febuary 2, 2000 vs. the Dallas Mavericks Mike Bibby scored his first Triple-Double with 14 points, 11 assists, and 11 rebounds. On April 4, 2000 Mike Bibby sank the game winning shot against houston to give the Grizzlies francise record 20th record. Against Denver Mike Bibby dished out a career high of 16 assists, on top of that 17 points and 6 rebounds.
In the 2000-01 season Mike Bibby was traded to the Sacramento Kings on June 27 2001, along with Brent Price for Jason Williams and Nick Anderson. In his first season with Sacramento Kings Mike Bibby help lead the Kings to the Playoffs. Defeating the Phenoix Suns in the first round 3 games to 1 but losing to 2002 NBA Champions Los Angeles Lakers 4 games to none.
In the 2001-02 season Mike Bibby with the fever to win an NBA title lead his Sacramento team to the NBA Playoffs once again. This time defeating the Utah Jazz in the first round 3 games to 1, then they defeated the Dallas Mavericks in the conference semi finals 4 games to 1 but when it came time to conference finals the Kings still couldn’t handle the L.A Lakers who beat them 4 games to 3.
